About the Role

We’re seeking a driven and hands-on Engineering Manager to lead a high-performing remote development team. You’ll be responsible for guiding execution, ensuring code quality, and mentoring engineers while aligning with cross-functional goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support a globally distributed team of developers, ensuring clarity and accountability.

• Drive execution of projects with a focus on performance, quality, and timely delivery.

• Review code and provide architecture guidance, primarily in PHP, JavaScript, and MySQL.

• Monitor engineering KPIs and improve team velocity and productivity.

• Collaborate with tech leads and product managers to align engineering efforts with business goals.

• Foster a strong engineering culture centered on ownership, feedback, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional experience in software engineering, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.

• Strong coding and architectural skills in PHP, MySQL, and JavaScript.

• Proven success managing remote development teams and delivering complex projects.

• Familiarity with agile processes, sprint planning, and DevOps tools (Docker, CI/CD, AWS).

• Excellent communicator with the ability to give clear feedback and set expectations.

• Emotionally intelligent leader who balances coaching with performance accountability.
